Facilitation of public and organizational meetings
Responsible Staff: Mike King
Purpose
There are several meetings that organizations hold throughout the North Country where a facilitator may be needed to help generate ideas and summarize details. Many organizations prefer having an outside entity perform the duties of facilitator to prevent biased decisions and to get an outsiders point of view.
Description
There are members of NCC’s staff who can play the role of facilitator for organizations’ meetings and conferences. Our role would be flexible but in general would include taking notes, calling upon participants, keeping track of time in relation to the agenda and tasks at hand, and summarizing notes/minutes to be sent to the organization after the completion of the meeting.
Timeframe
This service is intended to be for meetings lasting one day or less.
Associated Costs
NCC staff works at an hourly rate, but perhaps a portion of this service could be paid through a grant or in coordination with another planning effort as to offset the costs.
