Natural Resource - Environmental Technical Assistance

Purpose
NCC is currently developing a technical assistance program that will provide the region with guidance on creating and implementing comprehensive and watershed plans to address natural resource and environmental issues, as well as addressing regional needs relating to the areas natural assets.
Description
Over the course of the next two years NCC will be soliciting input from Conservation Commissions, regional and local water resource groups, land trusts, and leaders in the region who may have investment in the region’s natural assets and will develop services that will aim to meet the needs identified. Funding source will be investigated that will aid communities and organizations in fulfilling their mission. Programs will be developed that will move communities and organizations closer to their goals. It is the goal of NCC to become a source for communities on issues which affect a community’s natural assets and a source for regulatory assistance.
Timeframe
Ongoing, depending on the need within communities, the overall capacity of NCC and funding availability.
